Various Artists - The Ultimate Headphone Demonstration Songs 2xLP

Chesky Records celebrates it's 40th anniversary with The Ultimate Headphone Demonstration Songs. Originally released in 2014 as part of Steve Guttenberg's acclaimed Dr. Chesky's Ultimate Headphone Demonstration Disc, this musical program has now been carved out into it's own dedicated release. Recognizing the golden age of headphone design-where personal audio devices can exceed the resolution of massive loudspeaker setups-Chesky Records created this showcase to highlight what truly exceptional headphones can deliver. To show off every nuance of your equipment, this album gathers a premier selection of performances from across the Chesky catalog, preserved entirely free of studio processing, artificial equalization, or dynamic compression.Recorded using Chesky's signature Binaural+ methodology-utilizing a specialized B&K dummy head microphone to capture authentic 3D spatial cues-these uncompressed tracks offer an uninhibited "ear-witness" perspective. By separating the music program from the technical test diagnostic tracks, listeners can enjoy an uninterrupted album listening experience. Each performance retains it's full, natural soft-to-loud dynamic range, placing you directly inside the acoustic space alongside the performers and allowing high-resolution audio gear to project incredible depth, precise imaging, and organic warmth. The Ultimate Headphone Demonstration Songs will be reissued on 180g One-step Pressing Double Vinyl LP and SACD Hybrid Stereo as part of the Chesky Original Masters series.
