Irish rock band Thin Lizzy released their debut studio album on April 30, 1971. The album was followed by the New Day EP, produced and recorded by Nick Tauber at Decca Studios and released in August of the same year. It was the band's first album with the original lineup of Phil Lynott (bas, vocal), Eric Bell (guitar) and Brian Downey (drums). This album was Thin Lizzy putting all they had into the music and taking risks. It's passionate, high-energy and distinctive. Celebrating it's 55th anniversary, this super deluxe 4LP set includes the original album, the rare New Day EP in new stereo mix by Richard Whittaker, plus 15 previously unreleased tracks, including the studio track, ""Beggar's Song, "" with LPs 2, 3 & 4 all appearing on vinyl for the first time. Pressed on standard black vinyl.
