Noahfinnce - Wonky

Noahfinnce named his new album WONKY because it encapsulates how hefeels about life in the mid-2020s. In a way, it's about self-acceptance, because Iam a little bit different and a little bit wonky, so I am going to feel emotionalabout what's going on, says the alt-rock singer-songwriter. And the world's ina real wonky place, too, not just politically, but also in the way that algorithmsand AI seem to be taking over. In response to the rise in digitallyhomogenised content, Noah has taken a defiantly handmade approach tocreating artwork and video props for the WONKY era. He's been busy sewing, scanning and printing various items in a reassuringly old-school way. Along theway, Noah's cultivated a loyal following of alt-rock aficionados. Released in2024, hot on the heels of his buzz-building EPs Stuff From My Brain and MyBrain After Therapy, Noah's debut album Growing Up On The Internet wasnamed one of the year's 50 best LPs by Kerrang!.Now, with WONKY, an album that tells a timely and emotionally resonant storycomplete with spoken word interludes by YouTube icon TomSka, Noah's madehis most cohesive body of work yet. I'm not a really goal-oriented person. Idon't think much beyond making the best album I can or playing the best showsI can, he says. But I guess what I'm always striving for is a feeling ofcatharsis. I want people who listen to my songs to feel like they're not crazy forfeeling the way I do. I want them to hear me and feel less alone.
