Corridor's Jonathan Personne presents his self-titled album, a set of gloomy tales with lively and bursting sound dynamics. At once candid and sinister, light and brutal, this new homonymous album is built on a striking duality, established from the start by the cover - an illustration by Personne on which two children discover the remains of a corpse. The groundwork is laid for the unveiling of a mysterious world where ghostly spirits, strange presences and characters with broken destinies collide. Between 60s pop references with synthetic arrangements, folk-country inspiration based on western-spaghetti imagery, samples from obscure TV shows or movies, and blistering rock grooves with overabundant guitar strings, the album is a more polished and less lo-fi record than the rest of Personne's repertoire, but in an equally inventive and unpredictable vein.

Jonathan Personne presents his third album, a series of gloomy tales with lively and exploded musical dynamics. At the same time candid and sinister, light and brutal, this new homonymous album relies on a striking duality, announced from the outset by the cover - an illustration signed Personne on which two children discover the remains of a corpse. The stage is set for the noise of a mysterious world where ghostly spirits, strange presences and characters with broken destiny intersect. Composed alone with his acoustic guitar at the chalet, Jonathan Personne took an unexpected turn when the Montreal singer-songwriter reconnected in the studio with his friends Samuel Gougoux (drums), Julian Perreault (guitar), Mathieu Cloutier (bass) and Emmanuel Éthier (production, violin, synthesizer, mellotron, backing vocals). Between 60s pop references to synthetic arrangements, folk country inspirations to western-spaghetti imagery, samplings of obscure series or films and caustic rock grooves with superabundant guitar layers, the album scheduled for August 26, 2022 is a more refined work. And less lo-fi than the rest of Nobody's repertoire, but just as inventive and unpredictable.

Born out of a profound desire to explore the depths of the human heart and reconnect with each other after a pandemic-induced hiatus, Chrysalism marks a departure into an unmistakably pop-forward territory. It's evocative title refers to the feeling of tranquility that comes with being indoors during a thunderstorm, privy to the drama while remaining somewhat removed and untouched. With enthralling vocal harmonies, synth-led music and melodic guitar riffs, the pair explores topics like love, longing and heartbreak from a decidedly more mature perspective, no longer choosing to see themselves as victims of circumstances but rather actors in the storyline of their love lives. Composed and recorded with the help of Micah Jasper (ELIO, Rebecca Black, Slayyyter), a Los Angeles-based producer who shares the duo's pop sensibilities and references, Chrysalism is a poignant reflection of what it feels like to grow older and come into your own.
