Originally released in 1958 on Sun Records, Johnny Cash's second album was a smash success with singles such as "I Walk the Line," "Guess Things Happen That Way" and "Ballad of a Teenage Queen" shooting to the top of the charts and earning Cash a reputation as one of country's greatest songwriters and performers. The Man in Black is accompanied by Luther Perkins and Marshall Grant, known at the time as the Tennessee Two. The album was produced by Sun Records founder Sam Phillips and Jack Clement. Limited tangerine colored vinyl LP pressing.

In 1976, the legendary Johnny Cash, recognizing the power that the comic medium had to reach a younger audience, wrote a comic book biography titled HELLO, I'M JOHNNY CASH. This comic told Johnny's life story: his childhood, rise to stardom, struggles with fame, and ultimately, the redemption he found. This historical release has been out of print for decades. Now, celebrating the 50th anniversary of its initial release, and coinciding with Local Comic Shop Day and New York Comic Con, Z2 and The Johnny Cash estate have teamed up to make the Man in Black's seminal comic available once again with covers by original artist Al Hartley, as well as Chip Kidd and Tim Bradstreet.
