Limited yellow and orange with black marbling-colored vinyl LP pressing. Song in the Air is the third album by emo band Elliott, originally released in 2003. It marked another stylistic shift for the group, incorporating more post-rock influences, as well as live string arrangements by the Louisville group Rachel's. Pitchfork Media called Song in the Air ""a far more dynamic and internally cohesive record than any of the group's previous efforts."" Elliot released three albums and several 7""s in their eight-year existence, and were signed to Revelation Records. They formed in 1995 after the demise of lauded Louisville hardcore outfit Falling Forward.

Song in the Air is Elliott's third full-length album. But for all of it's beauty, energy, and human spirit, Song in the Air is not Elliott's moment of finding ""the answer."" What we have is a record that shows us the value of the moment of asking the question... of looking at a thing and figuring on it. Elliott's songs glow, spiral around, get messed up, come back home, get really sad, get worked up, fight against melancholy, are pissed off... they are ""alive."" Song in the Air is the first record that Elliott made with the addition of Benny Clark on guitar and Jason Skaggs on bass.
