Brighter Than Creations dark is back in print and pressed on Crystal Amber color vinyl. The bands 19-song epic is one of their most expansive albums in length and sound. Recorded during and after the acoustic Dirt Underneath Tour, the album features a more stripped down, and country based sound not seen since their second release Pizza Deliverance. The album's title is taken from a line in a Mike Cooley song entitled ""Checkout Time in Vegas"". Wes Freed once again provided the album artwork. According to guitarist Patterson Hood, the band's decision on the name of the album was greatly influenced by the Freed's artwork. Hood also said that the album was recorded with much ease and did not require compromises.

Drive-By Truckers are one of the most unique recording artists and live bands in popular music today. The Truckers write about people, places and situations like no one else, and have won a worldwide audience in the process. Their latest album adds new elements to the mix including the singing and songwriting debut of gifted bassist Shonna Tucker, the promotion of long time sidekick John Neff to full time band member on pedal steel and guitar, and the addition of legendary Muscle Shoals keyboardist Spooner Oldham to the recording sessions. Founding members Patterson Hood and Mike Cooley contribute some of the strongest writing and playing of their careers. The result is an inspired effort that resulted in a wealth of material: BRIGHTER THAN CREATION'S DARK is 19 tracks of pure DBT, spanning multiple genres.
