Cruise Control - Time Is An Angel

On Time Is An Angel, Cruise Control has presented us an album like a gifted bouquet of vibrant blooms, showing their hand at vintage tones and sincere songs. From a-side to b, it plays like the perfect mixtape for an ambling summer drive. Country twang merges with power pop jangle, fuzzy leads and honey sweet harmonies, sounding like the sight of blue sky after weeks of rain. Over the course of the album, you'll feel the warm breeze of fiddles and haunting sweet pedal steel gather depth and hue to pick n' strum ballads playing like Ole Opry faves, while washes of mellotron and endless guitar solos add watercolor washes to lightly psychedelic dreamfields, all before reaching the summit of the title track's heartbreaking (and heart mending) crystalline crescendo of feeling and remembrance.
