Saicobab - Sab Se Purani Bab

SAICOBAB’s second album in 11 years, “SAB SE PURANI BAB” which means “ancient (female) baby” in Hindi. SAICOBAB (the band name means “ancient baby”) formed in 2001 when YOSHIMIO and sitar player Daikichi Yoshida started improvising together, and this year they started incorporating ragas and ancient numerology into their compositions to create a Grind Raga Core sound. In this band, YOSHIMIO is not playing any instruments which is quite rare, and is focusing on vocals and jumping around. The cover artwork was created by Syoujou Ooido who is known for his microscopic drawings, and the artwork is his interpretation of an “ancient baby”. We named the baby “Bab-chan”.
