The second compilation, following, released by and for the US and Canadian markets, after the termination of the Stones’ contract with ABKCO and Decca. Where Hot Rocks concentrated mainly on the biggest hits, More Hot Rocks features a selection of singles, B-sides and album tracks. It runs in chronological order across the first three sides; side four comprises tracks that were previously unreleased in the US. This is alluded to in ’s liner notes: “8 from the brown cookie bag baked yesteryear and preserved and never before sold in your local deli”.
