Quiet Energies, recorded with James Bunton in Bonnetta's rural Ontario studio, sees the band (Bonnetta, Jon Hynes on bass and Andrew Kekewich on drums) let the sun and some Tom Petty into the songs, crafting the consummate driving record with deeply personal and insightful lyrics ""I was in LA and drove out to Joshua Tree to spend the day wandering around and shooting Super-8 film. I had been listening to so much Tom Petty on that trip, and it kind of came to me that this record was a journey. A road trip album. A driving album.""
