Common Grackle is the musical duo of witty alternative rock songwriter Gregory Pepper and indie hip-hop heavyweight producer Factor Chandelier. 9 years ago, Fake Four released Common Grackle's 'The Great Depression' which immediately became a cult hit among the label's fanbase. 'Old Dog New Tricks Who This' features the same familiar sound with a modern twist, plus demos and old catalog favorites.Gregory Pepper, Southern Ontario's elder statesman of self-deprecating basement pop, recently released the full-length 'I Know Now Why You Cry' on Fake Four. His trademark sound incorporates indie-folk, fuzzy nerd-rock, and buoyant electro-pop often with an abundance of baroque arrangements and ornate production. Factor Chandelier, hailing from Saskatoon, Canada, has received praise from Hip-Hop DX, Pop Matters, RESPECT Magazine, and Vice for his cinematic hip-hop sound, and Factor was named Hip Hop Artist of the Year at the WCMA and SMAs.
