On the B side, one of Jorge Ben's main backing bands and a group that was highly influential to his sound, Trio Mocotó. Alongside recording with Ben on the seminal Força Bruta, Negro É Lindo and Tábua de Esmeralda LPs, they were also key figures in the development of the samba rock sound - a fusion of samba, soul and rock influenced by music from the USA. First appearing on Trio Mocotó's self-titled 1977 Arlequim LP, 'Nao Adianta' is a dynamic orchestral-infused gem, laced with that sun-kissed, samba flavour.
